Labor Coordinator-Nationwide

Labor Coordinator

The purpose of this position is to help coordinate logistics and all aspects of labor scheduling.

Job Duties:

  • Interfaces with project and account executives on crew to ensure events are staffed with the correct caliber of individual.
  • Contacts freelancers, temporary employees and CT Technicians to schedule labor by utilizing R2.
  • Contacts unions when necessary.
  • Agrees rates with crew.
  • Maintains extensive and detailed crewing calendar “live” with up-to-the-minute changes.
  • Distributes departmental crewing calendar in a consistent and timely manner.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with freelance and vendor contacts.
  • Obtains credentials, drive-on/parking, dress code info and any show related specifics, including call times, from all PMs and distributes accordingly.
  • Generates detailed show sheets/call sheets/contact lists for each project under direction of project/sales management.
  • Is available after hours/weekends to coordinate changes and emergencies with regard to crew.
  • Determines whether potential crew should be set up as temporary employees or independent contractors dependent upon the position being filled and required documentation in place to be IC.
  • Ensures that all invoices and timesheets are received in a timely manner. Audits invoices and timesheets to ensure accuracy.
  • Generates Purchase Orders when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

  • Prior AV crewing experience required.
  • Associates degree or higher - a combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 3-5 years of experience covering extremely deadline driven office setting: production in film/tv a plus.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and organize multiple changing priorities at a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability for night/weekend contact over peak times
  • Demonstrated skills in communication and an ability to interact with a wide range of individuals and personalities.
  • In-depth knowledge and operation of computers (mac and PC) and software packages.
  • Knowledge or familiarity with broadcast/live events gear, personnel and culture a plus.
  • Additional consideration will be given to candidates with an established list of industry contacts / their own database of skilled workers in Video/Audio/Events.
  • This position will be located in Panorama City, CA, Las Vegas, NV, or Seacaucus, NJ. For highly experienced applicants this position may work remotely from anywhere in the United States.
