Position purpose

The Procurement Specialist supports the implementation and operation of Creative Technology’s Global Procurement function. The role manages procurement data, analyzes spend, maps suppliers, prepares reports, tracks governance requirements, measures savings, and provides administrative support for procurement initiatives across CTME, CTUS, CTE, CTAP and CTANZ.

Reporting to the VP Global Procurement, the role provides analytical and operational support for supplier consolidation, procurement governance, spend visibility, capital expenditure (CAPEX) procurement optimization, third-party equipment rental (sub-rental or sub-hire) supplier management, and procurement savings delivery across the Group.

Work schedule and global collaboration

The regular schedule is Monday through Friday during the assigned U.S. office’s business hours, as established by CTUS. Occasional early-morning or evening meetings and schedule adjustments may be needed to collaborate across international time zones or support live-event and project requirements. Scheduling will be coordinated with the manager, with advance notice where practicable. Work hours, timekeeping, meal and rest breaks, and any applicable overtime pay will follow CTUS policies and applicable federal, state, and local requirements.

Travel and expenses

Domestic and international travel may be required to support procurement initiatives, supplier engagement, and business-unit collaboration. Travel needs and schedules will be coordinated with the manager. Approved business expenses, per diem, and any applicable project or show-related payments will be handled under CTUS policies and applicable requirements.

Employment context

This position is employed through Creative Technology US. Employment terms, benefits, and any applicable overtime eligibility will be communicated in the offer and relevant CTUS policies, subject to applicable U.S. requirements.

Key responsibilities

Procurement data and analytics

  • Collect, validate, and maintain procurement, CAPEX, and sub-rental spend data from all business units, ensuring data quality, consistency, and integrity across reporting systems.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, suppliers, and business-unit representatives across regions and time zones to obtain timely procurement data and supplier information and support reporting and project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain procurement databases, tracking tools, and dashboards.
  • Analyze supplier and category spend, assess savings opportunities, and identify supplier concentration and consolidation opportunities.
  • Produce monthly procurement performance reports and key performance indicator (KPI) dashboards.
  • Monitor procurement savings, spend under management, and supplier compliance against agreed targets.
  • Support the development of procurement baselines and savings measurement methodologies.

Supplier mapping and management

  • Develop and maintain the global supplier database and supplier segmentation framework.
  • Map supplier relationships across regions and identify consolidation opportunities.
  • Maintain supplier contact and relationship ownership records by region and category.
  • Support supplier onboarding, due diligence, and qualification activities.
  • Track supplier performance metrics and maintain supplier scorecards.
  • Assist with preparation and documentation for supplier negotiations and framework agreements.
  • Maintain preferred supplier matrices and approved supplier lists.

CAPEX procurement support

  • Support administration of the global CAPEX procurement process.
  • Track CAPEX requests from the Wishlist stage through technical evaluation, IA approval, and procurement execution.
  • Maintain Wishlist and CAPEX tracking tools and monitor spend against budgets.
  • Support procurement planning for strategic equipment purchases.
  • Help prepare sourcing events, requests for quotation (RFQs), and supplier evaluations.
  • Support implementation of equipment standardization and manufacturer strategies.

Key responsibilities continued

Sub rental procurement support

  • Maintain visibility of sub-rental spend across all business units.
  • Collect and analyze supplier rate information.
  • Assist with development of preferred supplier frameworks and rate cards.
  • Monitor compliance with approved supplier programs.
  • Identify opportunities to rationalize the supplier base and concentrate spend.
  • Support preparation for supplier negotiations and commercial reviews.

Governance and compliance

  • Support implementation of global procurement standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies, and templates.
  • Conduct periodic procurement compliance reviews, identify gaps, and coordinate and implement corrective actions with the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Monitor procurement process compliance across business units and track requests against approved workflows and governance requirements.
  • Prepare compliance and procurement performance reports, highlighting risks, findings, and improvement opportunities for management.
  • Maintain procurement audit trails and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with internal audits and management reporting requirements.
  • Monitor procurement KPIs and prepare corrective action reports as needed.

Stakeholder and team support

  • Work with Finance, Technical, Operations, and business-unit stakeholders to collect procurement information and support delivery.
  • Support training and rollout of procurement processes and reporting templates.
  • Help prepare business cases, procurement presentations, and management reports.
  • Support procurement projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide administrative support to the VP Global Procurement and the wider procurement team.
  • Attend company and departmental meetings and provide coverage for other team members as needed.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and perform general administrative duties related to the role.

Qualifications and working standards

Experience and qualifications

  • At least five years of professional experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in procurement reporting, spend analysis, supplier data management, and support for supplier sourcing or procurement projects.
  • Experience in media, broadcast, live events, or project-based services.
  • Experience using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and procurement reporting tools; advanced computer literacy and Microsoft Excel skills.
  • CIPS certification or a comparable procurement credential is highly desirable. Power BI experience is an advantage.

Health safety and environmental responsibilities
